Join us at Migration of Matter in Berlin for an intensive two-day workshop exploring ceramic 3D printing, digital design, and material experimentation.

Led by designer and founder Cindy Valdez, this hands-on workshop offers an insight into professional ceramic 3D printing, from developing your own digital design to bringing it to life in clay.

Working in a small, intimate group of just four participants, you'll learn the fundamentals of clay preparation, printer setup, slicing, and ceramic 3D printing techniques.

Workshop Programme

DAY 1 — Concept & Digital Design

11:00–15:00 · 4 hours

Explore the possibilities of ceramic 3D printing, develop your own concept in Rhino, prepare your digital model for clay extrusion, and experiment with slicing and printing parameters.

DAY 2 — Ceramic 3D Printing

11:00–15:00 · 4 hours

Get hands-on with our ceramic 3D printers. Learn about clay preparation, machine calibration, extrusion, troubleshooting, and print your own ceramic object.

Who Is It For?

Designed for designers, architects, artists, and creative professionals interested in digital fabrication and contemporary ceramics.

Basic knowledge of Rhino or equivalent 3D modeling software is required. Previous experience in ceramic 3D printing is not necessary.

Please bring your own laptop with your modeling software installed.

Please note that ceramic pieces require drying, glazing, and firing after the workshop. Due to the nature of ceramics, minor variations and technical imperfections may occur.
